When to call
What does an emergency roof leak look like?
- Active water entering indoors: ongoing dripping or flowing water from ceilings, roof penetrations or attic areas during rain.
- Rapidly worsening ceiling damage: growing wet areas, sagging or bulging ceilings, or water spreading into walls and living spaces.
- A roof opened by a storm: missing roofing, wind damage or fallen debris that exposes the home to continuing rain.
- Water threatening wiring or fixtures: keep clear of wet electrical areas and do not touch affected switches or equipment.
If you see a sagging ceiling, stay out of the area below it. Do not climb onto a wet or damaged roof. Call 911 for immediate danger to people, fire or suspected structural collapse.
An old dry stain or a planned roof replacement usually calls for a scheduled inspection. If you are unsure whether the leak is urgent, explain what you are seeing when you call.
Protect now. Assess and repair next.
How our emergency service works.
- Call Matt and describe the emergency. Share your location, where water is entering and any visible storm damage. We discuss availability, safe access and the $250 call-out fee, which is credited toward your final invoice for repairs or replacement completed by Sky Valley Roofing LLC.
- Temporary protection and mitigation. Where conditions allow, we use heavy-duty tarps and appropriate temporary protection to help limit further water intrusion. We explain the proposed work and its charges before proceeding.
- Assess the roof and underlying damage. Once safe access and conditions allow, we investigate the leak source, roofing condition and affected materials. Temporary protection does not replace a permanent repair.
- Plan the permanent work. We return to repair the roof or discuss replacement based on the findings. Assessment or follow-up may be possible the next day; weather, damage, materials and scheduling determine timing.
Documented findings and a written scope help you understand the next step. If water has damaged interior materials, ask about restoration and rebuilding after the moisture source is addressed.
